Food and Friendship; Little Miracles Love Can Bring

Aid For Friends Mission Statement

Aid For Friends' mission is to serve needy, isolated shut-ins, primarily the frail elderly, in the 5 county Greater Philadelphia area, with free daily home-cooked meals delivered weekly by empathetic volunteer visitors, and also to provide shut-ins with free out reach services. The goal is to help our homebound "client/friends" maintain their cherished independence by supporting their determination to remain in their own homes for as long as possible and to enhance their quality of life.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER OR DONOR OPPORTUNITIES?

Could you help provide support for our Program Expenses?  In 36 years, Aid For Friends has provided 14 million free daily home cooked nutritious dinners, weekly compassionate visiting, supplemental food and ancillary outreach services to an aggregate total of 12 thousand needy, disabled isolated frail elderly homebound.  We have provided all of these meals and services at NO COST  NOT EVEN ONE PENNY EVER to the shut-ins who have become part of the "Aid For Friends Family".  Even during this recession, could you send just $3.00 or $10.00 monthly to help pay for Aid For Friends program expenses  or whatever you can give without hardship?  We currently serve 2100 shut-ins who have no choice but to depend on Aid For Friends for their daily nutritional needs.  Our donations, of course, have substantially decreased because of the economy, BUT if some of you are able to send a donation  no matter how small  I assure you there is no worthier charity than Aid For Friends Frail Elderly Outreach Center. If any of you might possibly be in a position to donate a larger amount, or even a Grant, and wish to discuss our Program's free outreach, you may call Steven Schiavone, Esq., Executive Director.
