Looking for a service opportunity for your group or company? Aid for Friends has many areas where your group can have a rewarding and enjoyable experience while assisting countless individuals throughout their home region.
You can host a group cook either at your own location or using our commercial kitchen in Northeast Philadelphia. We will provide the packaging materials for the meals and instructions and assistance in how to deliver the meals to us once completed. You bring the hands to cook, assemble and package the meals, soups or breakfast bags for us. These cooks can last from 2-4 hours depending on your group's desire and are instrumental to us in providing us large quantities of meals which we use to serve our friends in need. Most groups provide the ingredients for the meals they will prepare ( some bring items pre-cooked and just assemble in a group setting) but we also have food supplies which groups can use for their cooking from our warehouse. For more information or to arrange a group cook event, please contact Lynn Trombetta at 215-464-2224 or firstname.lastname@example.org
A great activity for scout , school and corporate groups- breakfast bags are plastic bags filled with non-perishable contents for an individual's breakfast- small cereal packs, granola bars, teabags or coffee singles, etc. We provide these to many of our clients along with their frozen dinner to enable them to have a full day of nutritious eating which they would not otherwise have. Groups will generally convene to assemble the bags; many times the children's groups include cards with their bags which are a big hit with our friends.
